4Home Superstores – Loyalty And Employee Identification Solution

The Challenge Faced

4HOME Superstores requirement was two fold; one to supply an employee identification card for all employees throughout Ireland, a card that would identify each employee by name and location. Each employee card would incorporate a unique sequential barcode that would identify each employee when scanned.

Secondary was to supply a dedicated Discount Card for the companies 7,500 shareholders who are distributed nationwide. The Shareholder Discount Card would be full colour and would be unique to each shareholder through the display of the shareholders name, a sequential barcode and a signature panel.

Peak Technologies Identification and Loyalty Division were chosen to accomplish both requirements on the merits of being Irelands leading supplier of plastic card solutions. Peak Technologies were quick to gauge exactly what was required and to advise accordingly on how best to move forward and deliver a workable solution within the designated budgetary parameters.

Solution Overview

Identification and Loyalty Division is the largest distributor of plastic card solutions throughout Ireland and the supply of employee cards was second nature. For the employee card requirement Peak Technologies produced 300 pre-printed full colour plastic cards. Each card had space on the front to show employee name, number and store location. Having been supplied with a data base of 4HOME employee details Peak Technologies were able to produce individual employee ID cards which resulted in a complete solution for 4HOME which resulted in 300 individually identified cards personalised to every employee within the group.

The Shareholder Discount Card was a similar exercise to that of the employee cards in so much as the physical card was supplied pre-printed, because of the volumes involved a litho print option was called for. Each card was supplied with room to overprint the shareholders name to the front and a personalised sequential barcode to the rear, there was also a signature panel supplied to the rear.

A key part to 4HOME Superstores requirement was to engage a company to carry out all necessary fulfilment issues relating to the production, accumulation, collation and post aim of the Shareholder Discount Card. This exercise is a specialist job and required the expertise Peak Technologies had accumulated over the years to ensure personalised Discount Cards were matched to personalised letters and merged to personalised envelopes, on time and within budget.

Once 4HOME had supplied all necessary information relating to the shareholder pertinent to this exercise Peak Technologies were able to work behind the scene to ensure complete fulfilment of the Shareholder Discount Card was carried out.

The charge was simple, 4HOME supplied the necessary information and within a very short period of time the targeted shareholder received his personalised Discount Card, his personalise letter which was located in his personalised envelope and included a copy of the 4HOME catalogue. In a word, simple!

To ensure new employee or discount cards could be issued at will Peak Technologies ensured an adequate supply of blank employee and discount cards were supplied in the original print run.

To accompany the pre-printed card was a Zebra P110i This plastic card printer was chosen specifically for its printing facility which was a key requirement by 4HOME as the bearers name needed to be displayed on the front of the card and a unique bar code was to be displayed on the rear.

The P110i printing system allowed for easy printing that would accommodate 4HOME’s requirements and a copy of the CardFive Premier plastic card print software completed the package. CardFive software allows easy management of print design and allows 4HOME Superstores total control of their plastic card print needs in-house whenever required.

Having consulted with 4HOME Superstores Peak Technologies was quick to assess the requirement and advise on how best to achieve the end goal. Artwork for design of both card types were approved and high quality ready to use plastic cards were produced Once pertinent data bases were received Peak Technologies were able to work tirelessly in the background and deliver 300 employee cards that were specific to each employee as well as delivering a Shareholder Discount Card that again was personalised to each shareholder as well as being included in a branded personalised pack that was posted to each shareholder directly. In all Peak Technologies has delivered a unique tailor made service that ensured top quality ID cards and maintained the professionalism of the 4HOME brand to employees and shareholders alike.
